PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image formation apparatus which can prevent the surface of an image carrier from being damaged even when a cartridge and the image formation apparatus are packed together.SOLUTION: An image formation apparatus comprises: a first image carrier; a second image carrier which forms an image in a different color from the first image carrier; first pressing means which energizes the first image carrier; second pressing means which energizes the second image carrier; a belt member which has the first surface and the second surface, and is arranged so that the first surface faces the first image carrier and the second surface faces the second image carrier; a first support member which faces the second surface of the belt member and is provided correspondingly to the first image carrier; and a second support member which faces the second surface of the belt member and is provided correspondingly to the second image carrier. The second support member is movable between the pressing position for pressing the belt member to the second image carrier and the separation position where the second image carrier and the belt member are separated from each other via the space. The second pressing means has the larger energization force than that of the first pressing means.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 4
