PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a tape cutter which can easily form a fold-back piece at the leading end of a tape after cutting, and which can be used as a conventional one. SOLUTION: A plate-like stationary piece 2 is fixed to the front end part of a body 1 of a conventional tape cutter so as to extend upward, having its upper part higher than the upper surface of the front end part, and a plate-like movable piece 3 is located being inclined in front of the stationary piece 2, and being supported at its lower end to the body 1 while a cutting blade 4 is attached to the front end of the upper part of the movable piece 3. Further, a restoring means 5 is provided for returning the movable piece 3 to its original position, away from the stationary piece 2, and an adjusting means 6 is provided for adjusting the space between the stationary piece 2 and the movable piece 3.
