PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a token image acquisition device for acquiring image information on a token without causing displacement even when a moving speed of the token is increased and to provide a token sorter for discriminating authenticity of the token on the basis of the image data acquired by the token image acquisition device and reliably sorting true tokens from false tokens. SOLUTION: The token image acquisition device for picking up an image of a moving token by an image pickup device to acquire image pickup information, is provided with: a pushing body which moves at a prescribed speed; a guide body for guiding the token pressed by the pushing body; an image pickup device for picking up an image of the token pushed by the pushing body; and an alignment supply device for supplying tokens to the pushing body one by one.
