PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method which finishes a small-diameter internal gear which does not have a practical machining method heretofore, facilitates attachment and detachment of an internal gear by centerless lapping, and machines both right and left tooth flanks of the internal gear at the same time by using two lapping gears, so that the machining time is remarkably reduced. SOLUTION: Both sides of the internal gear 1 to be machined are held by a plurality of side support rotors to restrain axial inclination, and supported by two lap tool gears including a driving lap gear 2 and a brake lap gear 3 and one guide gear 4 or a guide roller, whereby rotation is self-aligning applied to the internal gear 1 to be machined to adjust the braking force of a brake lap gear 3 so that desired machining load is applied.
