PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To efficiently prevent sticking of Al<SB>2</SB>O<SB>3</SB>, even when blown inert gas flowing rate is within the range of the upper limit value regulated from the experience, when an aluminum-killed steel is continuously cast by blowing the inert gas, such as Ar gas, into an immersion nozzle. SOLUTION: While increasing/decreasing the back pressure or the flowing quantity of the inert gas blown into the immersion nozzle 9 during casting, molten steel 17 is poured into a mold 2 via the immersion nozzle. In this time, it is desirable that the back pressure or the flowing quantity of the inert gas is increased/decreased in a fixed period and the inert gas is blown from an upper nozzle 3 installed in a tundish 1.
