<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical multiplexer/demultiplexer which can be miniaturized. <P>SOLUTION: As a part of light rays made incident to a concave surface mirror 6-2 is transmitted by the concave surface mirror 6-2 and is made incident to a photodetector 32-1, optical power multiplexed or demultiplexed can be measured by detecting an output of the photodetector 32.
