PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a polyester composition having an improved hue by incorporating titanium dioxide having newly designed properties. SOLUTION: The titanium dioxide-containing polyester composition comprises at least 0.01 wt.% and at most 70 wt.%, based on the whole weight of the polyester composition, of titanium dioxide simultaneously satisfying all of the requirements (a)-(e) below. (a) The average particle size is within the range of 0.1-0.5μm. (b) The number of coarse particles having a particle size of at least 3μm is at most 5,000 pieces/0.4 mg. (c) The number of coarse particles having a particle size of at least 4μm is at most 1,500 pieces/0.4 mg. (d) The content of P<SB>2</SB>O<SB>5</SB>is within the range of 0.10-0.30 wt.% based on the whole weight of titanium dioxide.
