摘要 <p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve display quality in a liquid crystal display device which comprises an upper electrode and a lower electrode formed via an insulation layer and has an opening part for transmitting an electric field for driving liquid crystal molecules, formed on the upper electrode. <P>SOLUTION: A plurality of slits 43 are provided on the pixel electrode 42 as the upper electrode in order to transmit electric fields between a pixel electrode 42 and a common electrode as the lower electrode. The slits 43 are arranged so as to avoid the part of a contact hole 102 for supplying a potential to the pixel electrode 42 on a region in the neighborhood of the window-like opening part 100 as the region where the common electrode is removed on the under part of the pixel electrode 42. The slits 43 are arranged on a region in the neighborhood of the window-like opening part 100 such that a circular shape at one side edge part of both end parts in the longitudinal direction is located inside the window-like opening part 100.
