PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an improved radar apparatus for solving the problem that a plurality of radar apparatuses employing an FMCW modulation system and the like generate interferences when approaching another. SOLUTION: In the radar apparatus employing the FMCW modulation system, respective amplitudes of a transmission signal and a reception signal are varied smoothly, such that they are small at the beginning and the termination, and large at the middle in a sweep period.
