PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a magnetic type absolute value encoder device of high reliability and low electric power consumption, capable of detecting an angle within one rotation and a multi-rotation mount. SOLUTION: An electric power source circuit 65 with a voltage monitor generates and supplied an electric power source with a back-up from a battery electric power source, when an external electric power source is blocked, and blocks an electric power source with no back-up. The electric power source circuit 65 with the voltage monitor outputs therein a monitoring signal for notifying the blocking of the external electric power source. A switch 66 receives the monitoring signal to separate connection between a magnetic detecting element 4 and a one-rotation signal generating part 61. COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT
