PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To automatically wrap a food under a condition that deformation of the food is suppressed and a film is tightly stuck on the food. SOLUTION: Vent holes 18a and 20a and communicating holes 18b and 20b are formed in a conveying body 14. First and second suction chambers which face a film feeding station and its downstream side station and can communicate with the communicating holes 18b and 20b, and third and fourth suction chambers 32 and 34 which face an article feeding station and can communicate with the communicating holes 18b and 20b are connected with a first blower. An air suction force acting through the vent holes 18a and 20a when the third and fourth chambers 32 and 34 communicate with the communicating holes 18b and 20b is set smaller than an air suction force when the first and second suction chambers are communicated with the communicating holes 18b and 20b. The vent hole 20a sucks and holds a film sheet f, and jets air to the edge part of the sheet extending to the outside of the food stored in the conveying body 14 and raises it.
