PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a game machine capable of realizing a wide variety of variable display modes, of realizing the most effective variable display modes corresponding to the various conditions, and of enhancing the amusement of the play without imposing a heavy processing burden onto the main control means. SOLUTION: The game machine provides in the main control means 20 a variable display mode selecting means that selects the variable display mode of the variable display game based on the predetermined selection proportion among from the multiple kinds of the variable display modes of which execution timing differ from each other. The sub control means 40 is equipped with a variable display control means to control the variable display game per the variable display mode selected by the variable display mode selecting means based on the display control command. Furthermore, the variable display control means has a variable display mode change means to change the variable display mode selected by the variable display mode selecting means, and the variable display mode change means makes it possible to change the timing proportions of the variable display modes which are being executed at the multiple stages without changing the total execution time of the variable display mode.
