PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an inkjet recording apparatus capable of efficiently catching floating articles in air by utilizing the flow of the air and removing an influence to image formation caused by the floating articles in a case where recording is performed while a recording head is scanning in the main scanning direction by a serial system, and to provide a head unit. SOLUTION: The inkjet recording apparatus is equipped with: the recording head 11 delivering an ink on a recording medium S; a carriage driving mechanism for scanning in the main scanning direction X intersecting at right angles to a carrying direction (sub-scanning direction) of the recording medium S; a first circular arc part 15 and a second circular arc part 16 provided in the neighborhood of the recording head 11 and having a face separated more from the recording medium S than an ink delivering face 11a of the recording head 11; and an adsorbing means 18 provided on the insides of the first circular arc part 15 and the second circular arc part 16 and catching the floating articles.
