A recording/reproducing method and an apparatus thereof are provided to improve the performance of the whole system by reproducing and recording individual pulse in the state optimized to the system. A recording/reproducing method comprises: a step(S30) determining frequency distribution and synchronization of signals generated by the light diffracted and reflected from a recording medium; a step(S50) setting and changing parametric values of the recording technique to perform data recording/reproduction; and a step storing the parameter setting values of the recording technique in case the frequency of the signal shows the optimum distribution and the signal is synchronized at the same time.
