A method for controlling an auto-cruise is provided to improve the comfort of riding by controlling the steady speed driving stably. A method for controlling an auto-cruise comprises the steps of performing the sampling within the set number in a loop time according to the selection of the auto-cruise control; comparing the vehicle speed sensor input value inputted during the sampling with the vehicle speed upper limit or the vehicle speed lower limit; counting the corresponding sampling if the vehicle speed sensor input value is greater than the vehicle speed upper limit or smaller than the vehicle speed lower limit; and subtracting the number of the counting from the sampling number and setting the average value as the vehicle speed value for control.
