PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an encoding method capable of effectively transmitting screen content through a network, its non-temporal computer readable medium, and an encoder.SOLUTION: According to an embodiment, the encoding method generates a histogram corresponding to the entire pixels in a coding unit. Further, the encoding method includes calculating a first color value on the basis of the histogram, and the number of first pixels of the first color value in the histogram is equal to or more than a first threshold. Further, the encoding method includes calculating a second color value within a first range of the first color value on the basis of the histogram. Further, the encoding method includes deleting one or more pixels of the first color value from the histogram when the number of second pixels of the second color value is equal to or more than a second threshold. In addition, the encoding method includes adding the first threshold to an initial color table when the number of second pixels is less than a second threshold.
