PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cathode active material for non-aqueous electrolyte secondary battery providing high output together with high capacity when used as a cathode material.SOLUTION: There is provided a manufacturing method of a cathode active material for non-aqueous electrolyte secondary battery including a process of adding at least one kind of tungsten source of WOand HWOand at least one kind of lithium source of LiOH and hydrate thereof to water of 0.01 or more by mass ratio to the total of the tungsten source and conducting wet mixing to obtain a W mixture, a drying process for heating and drying treatment of the W mixture to obtain a dried article, a process of mixing the lithium tungsten acid manufactured through a crushing process for crushing the dried article with LiNi composite oxide consisting of primary particles represented by the general formula LiNiCoMOand secondary particles constituted by aggregating the primary particle and water to obtain a mixture and a heat treatment process of a W component of the resulting mixture for forming fine particles containing W and Li on a surface of the primary particle of the LiNi composite oxide powder.SELECTED DRAWING: None |
