PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To shorten the counting processing time of Pachinko balls and to attain the compaction and cost-down of a Pachinko ball counter and a Pachinko ball counting unit. SOLUTION: A Pachinko ball detecting part (Pachinko ball counting mechanism) 40 provided on the downstream side of a counting lane 35 is provided with a ball passing part having a passage height capable of allowing passing of vertically overlapped Pachinko balls P1 and P2 and the vertically overlapped passing Pachinko balls P1 and P2 can be individually detected by an upper ball detecting part 50 and a lower ball detecting part 60. Thus, the speed-up of Pachinko ball counting and the compaction of a Pachinko ball counter can be attained.
