<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a prophylactic or therapeutic agent which promotes the oxidation of the fatty acid of skeletal muscle and is more effective for obesity, diabetes, and lipid metabolic disorders, and to provide a using method therefor. <P>SOLUTION: The prophylactic or therapeutic agent for obesity, diabetes, and lipid metabolic disorders by promoting the oxidation of the fatty acid of skeletal muscle comprises leptin and an AMPK (adenosine monophosphate activated protein kinase) activating drug such as metformin and AICAR (5-aminoimidazole-4-carboxamide-1-β-α-libonucleoside) or a PPARαactivator such as a fibrate type drug, and the using method therefor is also disclosed. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
