PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of painting a multilayer board of which the manufacturing cost can be reduced while maintaining an excellent finish in painting on an edge surface of the board. SOLUTION: There is provided a method of painting a multilayer board 1 comprising: preparing a paint 4; preparing the multilayer board 1, the edge surface 1c of which includes an intermediate layer portion 1a with a plurality of voids and two surface layer portions 1b, 1b with voids of a size smaller than that of the voids in the intermediate layer portion 1a and provided so that the intermediate layer portion 1a is sandwiched in between; adhering a tape 3 on the edge surface 1c of the mulitilayer board 1 so as to cover the intermediate layer portion 1a; and applying the paint 4 entirely on the edge surface 1c on which the tape 3 is adhered.
