PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To deposit no splash of a coating agent on an object to be coated positioned at a second area when temporary blowing is performed at a first area in a spray apparatus for spraying the coating agent on a glass substrate or the like using a spray nozzle. SOLUTION: In the spray coating apparatus, the spray nozzle 4 is provided in a box body 1, the inside of the box body 1 is divided to the first area 11, the second area 12 and a third area 13, and the nozzle 4 is reciprocatedly moved from the first area 11 to the first area 11 via the second area 12 and the third area 13. The first area 11 is an area where the temporary blowing is performed in order to stabilize an amount of coating agent sprayed from the nozzle 4, the second area 12 is an area where the object to be coated is placed, the coating agent is sprayed from the nozzle 4 and the object to be coated is coated with it and the third area 13 is an area where spraying of the coating agent from the nozzle 4 is stopped.
