<p>A process for producing a piston (1) for a cylinder, which has a base member (2) and a receiving hole (3) that accommodates the piston rod, comprises a primary injection moulding stage where the base member is formed in an injection moulding tool. A magnet is applied in a second stage. The piston remains in the moulding tool between the first and second stages.
