PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To retouch or supplement a subject image by compositing a subject image itself and another image in displaying a stereoscopic image, using a left image and a right image. SOLUTION: The present invention comprises a projected image generating part 11 for generating right and left projected images, when the original subject image is viewed from two viewpoints or two directions; a template image storage part 12 for storing the right and left template images; and an image compositing part 13 for forming a left composited image by compositing the left projected image and the left template image, and forming a right composited image by compositing the right projected image and the right template image. If the right and the left composited images are viewed substantially simultaneously with the right and the left eyes by using a 3-dimensional display, the subject image that has been retouched or supplemented can be viewed stereoscopically.
