PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical fiber cutter with an optical fiber remover and a method of connecting optical fibers which achieve reduction in time for removing a coating of an optical fiber and for cutting the optical fiber and achieve highly accurate connection between the optical fibers. SOLUTION: The optical fiber cutter with the optical fiber remover includes: a holder retainer 2 in which a plurality of optical fiber holders 15 each holding an optical fiber 16 are fixed in parallel; a coating removing section A which is arranged in the axial direction of the optical fiber 16 and removes the coating of the optical fiber 16; and a cutting section B for cutting the optical fiber 16. The holder retainer 2 is linearly movable for the purpose of varying a space relative to the coating removing section A.
