PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a backrest device for a bus guide allowing a bus guide to stand while facing a rear side of a bus in a comfortable posture, and capable of stably supporting the bus guide even if the bus jolts. SOLUTION: The backrest device 10 for the bus guide has link mechanisms 24, 26, 28 for projecting out a backrest member 12 to a passage side. A tip end of the second link member 26 is rotatably mounted at a rear end in a shaking out direction of the third link member 28 constituting the backrest member 12, and a tip end of the first link member 24 is rotatably mounted at a position biased to a rear end side from the gravity center of the third link member 28.
