PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a waste ink liquid absorber in which a waste ink is easily absorbed even when the waste ink discharged from a waste liquid tube is such that it foams in a waste liquid tank of an inkjet recorder, and to provide an inkjet recorder which includes the waste ink liquid absorber. SOLUTION: The waste ink liquid absorber 32 is for a waste ink tank 31 of the inkjet recorder. The waste ink liquid absorber 32 contains an impregnation liquid which includes a defoamer in a part that includes at least a contact surface with the waste ink liquid.
