PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a radio communication apparatus capable of performing stable and efficient communications when a plurality of communication systems operate simultaneously, and a radio communication method and a program related thereto. SOLUTION: A radio communication apparatus 100 performs control for radio communication by WLAN so that a WLAN circuit 110 informs a Bluetooth circuit 120 of a WLAN-Active "H" which stops Bluetooth operation of the Bluetooth circuit 120, and performs control even for radio communication so as not to transmit a WLAN-Active (that is, to set a WLAN-Active "L") when the WLAN circuit 110 performs periodic scanning for connection with an access point.
