PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a magnesium alloy suitable to the application of semi-solid casting method with the use in mobile apparatus.SOLUTION: Provided is a magnesium alloy containing magnesium, lithium of 6 to 12 wt% and aluminum of 1 to 10 wt%, and in which the temperature range between the solidus line and the liquidus line of the metal-alloy to be used, i.e., the temperature range from the temperature at which the alloy starts to fuse to the temperature at which the alloy is perfectly fused is 50°C or higher. The magnesium alloy preferably includes zinc of 0.2 to 3 wt%, manganese of 0.3 wt% or lower, silicon of 0.2 wt% or lower, calcium of 1.0 wt% or lower and tin of 1.0 wt% or lower as well.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3 |
