PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a steel cable cutting die which can cut only an aluminum-covered steel wire of OPGW.SOLUTION: A die 10 can cuts an aluminum-covered steel wire 1b of an OPGW 1 by use of a die holder 7. The die holder 7 comprises a die holder 7a and a die bracket 7b. The die 10 consists of a first die 2 and a second die 3. A semi-cylindrical outer-periphery of the first die 2 is held by the die holder 7a. The first die 2 can introduce the aluminum-covered steel wire 1b. A semi-cylindrical outer-periphery of the second die 3 is held by the die bracket 7b. The second die 3 can introduce the aluminum-covered steel wire 1b. The second die 3 constitutes a partial cylindrical part 31. The partial cylindrical part 31 regulates a depth D from a bottom surface of a recess part 31 where the OPGW 1 is introduced to both edges so that a blade part 81 of a saw blade 8 to cut the aluminum-covered steel wire 1b does not contact with an aluminum tube 1a.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
