PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a paper treatment device which can easily provide blocks of a same size.SOLUTION: A paper treatment device 1 comprises: a waste paper accumulation unit 17 draining water and leaving waste paper in a solution; a compression unit 18 compressing the waste paper collected in the waste paper accumulation unit 17 to make a solid block; and a water volume detector 20 detecting a volume of the solution drained from the waste paper accumulation unit 17. The water volume detector 20 is comprised of a swinging unit 22 swinging wider as the volume of drained solution increasing and a swing detector 23 detecting that the swinging unit 22 becomes a predetermined swing angle, and the compression unit 18 is operated with the detection.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 6A |
