The present invention relates to a method of reducing an oxide scrap containing indium, and recovering a metal indium or an indium alloy. The method of the invention comprises: inserting an oxide scrap containing indium into a reducing furnace; reducing the oxide scrap by introducing a reducing gas to a reducing furnace, and heating the same; separating a molten metal of the metal indium or the indium containing alloy obtained by reduction into a lower part of the reducing furnace; and recovering the molten metal using a metal recovery unit. The invention is capable of efficiently recovering the indium or the indium alloy from a scrap containing high-purity indium oxide generated during the manufacturing of an indium-tin oxide (ITO) sputtering target or after being used.
