<p>PURPOSE: A signal processing unit achieves a high level of resolution by adopting a purse compression process in processing weather signals. CONSTITUTION: A calculation unit (112) purse-compresses received weather signals, calculates correlation coefficients based on the purse-compressed weather signals, and obtains weather variables based on the coefficients. A control unit (114) controls the calculation unit, receives the weather variables, and converts them into raw weather variables. A display analysis unit (116) receives/stores the raw weather variables and displays the reception results according to the raw weather variables. The calculation unit receives status information of an antenna or a transceiver from the outside and transmits the information to the control unit.
