PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an aqueous bactericide, disinfectant, and/or sterilization drug each having a low peroxygen content.SOLUTION: This invention relates to a disinfectant composition that is safe to humans, or, for instance, safe to food grade or food. In one example, an aqueous disinfectant composition can contain an aqueous vehicle containing water, 0.001-10.0 wt.% peroxygen, and alcohol, and further 0.001-50,000 wt.ppm transition metal can be present therein on the basis of the aqueous vehicle content. The composition need not necessarily contain aldehyde substantially. Or more specifically, or furthermore, the transition metal can be a colloidal silver or its alloy in colloidal transition metal form. |
