PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent firing from being performed by a firing device when the temperature of a gas container is increased over a specified set value. SOLUTION: In this gas combustion type impact tool, an inflammable gas is fed from a gas container 20 filled with the inflammable gas into a combustion chamber 10 to generate a mixed gas of air and a combustion gas in the combustion chamber 10, and a firing device 25 is energized to burn the mixed gas in the combustion chamber 10 to generate a high-pressure combustion gas in the combustion chamber 10. A temperature detector 33 detecting the ambient temperature of the gas container 20 is installed, and the temperature detected by the temperature detector 33 is compared with a pre-set set temperature.
