A molten metal of a brazing metal alloy is ejected onto a rotating metal cooling roll, through an opening of its nozzle. Several empty portions (115a) are formed in the molten metal being cooled and solidified in the cooling roll. The solidified metal is forcibly separated from the cooling roll to form a thin band-shaped foil brazing element (115).
