The heat exchanger has a housing (31) with one or more connecting pipes (21, 51) containing at least one movable adjuster pipe (1) which has an adjusting hole which passes right through so that by moving the adjuster pipe in the connecting pipe the hole covers the through hole to the housing to a greater or lesser amount so as to purposefully change the passage cross section between the connecting pipe and housing.
