A machine for cutting garlic stem and sorting garlic by size is provided, in which a pair of lozenge-shaped belts receive garlic from a garlic supply part and then move to perform the cutting and sorting processes. The machine has a simple structure, shows a good durability, and enables curtailment of manufacturing and maintenance costs. A machine for cutting garlic stem and sorting garlic by size comprises: a garlic supply part(5) which is operated by a motor(2) at the upper part of a main body(1), is equipped with a decelerator(3) including a chain gear(10), and consists of a couple of guide pieces(4) at one side of the main body; a couple of power belt pulleys(7) which are installed by a shaft at a gab for holding garlic between the bottom of the guide pieces and the front end of the main body; a couple of passive pulleys(8) which are installed at the back end of the main body; lozenge-shaped belts(9) which are installed at a couple of power belt pulleys and a couple of passive pulleys; garlic guides(11) which are placed near the belts and prevent the separation of garlic; a couple of revolving blades(12) which are installed by a shaft at intervals of three or four bulbs of garlic from the power belt pulleys to the passive pulleys; and a couple of spur gears(13) and chain gears(14) which are installed at the same shaft as the revolving blades and are also connected to the chain gear and a chain(15) on the decelerator. |
