<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electrolyte and a battery using the electrolyte capable of improving battery characteristics even at a high temperature. <P>SOLUTION: A separator 23 is impregnated with an electrolyte containing a solvent and an electrolytic salt. The solvent contains at least one kind of compound expressed by a chemical formula 1, wherein R1 and R2 represent a hydrogen group, a halogen group, a methyl group, an ethyl group or groups substituting a halogen group for a part of the hydrogen in these groups, and X, Y, Z represent sulfur (S) or oxygen (O) excluding a case where all of X, Y, Z are sulfur (S) (X=Y=Z=S) and a case where all of X, Y, Z are oxygen (O) (X=Y=Z=O). Decomposition reaction of the electrolyte can thereby be suppressed even in high temperature environment, and excellent characteristics can be obtained even if the battery is left in a high temperature situation. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
