PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rotor of an AC generator for a vehicle, which is easily manufactured, can secure a sufficient fixing strength, prevent an increase in magnetic resistance and be reduced in undesirable plastic deformation caused by pressure fitting. SOLUTION: An escape space part 27 for accommodating the plastic deformation part at pressure fitting is provided between the shaft holes 225, 235 of a pair of pole cores 22, 23 and a shaft 21. The escape space part 27 is provided in the vicinity of the inner end surfaces 224, 234 where the pole cores 22, 23 are tightly adhered with each other in particular. Thereby, an excessive displacement of the plastic deformation part or its intrusion between the inner end surfaces 224, 234 can be prevented. COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT
