PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a system and a draining method for draining water gathered in main air piping of a dental air supply system. SOLUTION: The dental air supply system includes an air pressurizing means 3, the main air piping 5 connected to the air pressurizing means 3, a branched connecting pipe 13 branched from and connected to the main air piping 5, and an open/close valve 15 provided on an end side of the main air piping 5 for draining water gathered in the main air piping 5. The system further has a control means 11 for carrying out actuation and stopping of a first open/close valve 9 for draining water gathered in an air tank 7 of the air pressurizing means 3, the second open/close valve 15 installed on the end side of the main air piping 5 and the air pressurizing means 3. With such a configuration, driving of the air pressurizing means 3 is stopped after the second open/close valve 15 is opened and the first open/close valve 9 is opened after the air pressurizing means 3 is stopped under control of the control means 11.
