PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable reducing the capacity of image data without substantially deteriorating image quality of an multi-band image. SOLUTION: N band image data are output to an image data processing device 100 from an N band photographing device 150 capable of photographing multi-bands of N>4. An evaluation information providing part 102 provides evaluation information to a determining part 103 based on the input N band image data. The determining part 103 determines whether an image data to be output should be the N band image data or M band image data having less number of bands than the N band image data based on the evaluation information. An output data selecting part 104 selects either of the N band image data and the M band image data as data to be output to an image data storage part 160, based on a determined result in the determining part 103.
