MULTILAYER CERAMIC BOARD AND PROCESS FOR MANUFACTURING THE SAME

In the manufacturing of a multilayer ceramic board through disposing an element, such as a laminated ceramic capacitor, in the interior of an unsintered green laminate and firing the green laminate in that state, it might be accompanied by cracking of the in-built element and also cracking of the laminate side. A laminate (6) is composed of base material layers (2) and, disposed therebetween, interlayer constraining layers (3-5). The base material layers (2) consist of a matter obtained by sintering a first powder containing a glass material and a first ceramic material. The interlayer constraining layers contain a second powder containing a second ceramic material not sinterable at temperatures realizing melting of the above glass material and have the second powder in adhering form due to the diffusion or flow at sintering of a portion of the glass-material-containing first powder contained in the base material layers (2). Each in-built element (7) is in the state of having its entire periphery covered by the interlayer constraining layers (3-5).
