<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a manufacturing method for a bearing device for a wheel capable of restraining a rotational torque of an inner ring from getting low, capable of restraining a sealing member from generating heat, and capable of restraining durability of the sealing member from getting worse. <P>SOLUTION: This bearing device for the wheel is provided with an outer ring 2 fixed onto a vehicular body, the inner ring 3 rotatable with respect to the outer ring 2, a hub shaft 4 attached with a driven wheel and fixed with the inner ring 3, and the sealing member provided in an outer circumference 3a of the inner ring 3 in order to seal a space formed by the outer ring 2 and the inner ring 3. The manufacturing method for the bearing device for the wheel is provided at least with a process for providing the inner ring 3 satisfying a relation of 0.25≥2×D/Rb≥0.11 where D represents a wall thickness of the inner ring 3 and Rb represents a bottom diameter of the inner ring 3, in an outer circumference 4a of the hub shaft 4, and a process for caulking a shaft end 4A of the hub shaft 4 to bring an expansion amount of an outside diameter Ra of the inner ring 3 into a prescribed value or less, for fixing the inner ring 3 provided in an outer circumference 4a of the hub shaft 4 onto the hub shaft 4. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT |
