<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a display device and the like, easily performing alteration work for advertisement display data according to merchandise arrangement in a shop. <P>SOLUTION: This electronic POP (Point of Purchase) device 10 includes a storage part for storing a plurality of advertisement display data corresponding to merchandise codes of the respective pieces of merchandise, wherein a wireless IC tag T where a merchandise code of each merchandise is read from a display shelf 30 where merchandise is displayed by a wireless tag reader TR. Further, the advertisement display data corresponding to the read merchandise code is read from the storage part and displayed. In this case, the wireless IC tag T may be provided on the display shelf 30 where the merchandise is displayed, or be stuck to the merchandise.
