In order to increase manufacturing efficiency of a joint connector while reducing the pitch between cavities, in a process for inserting a joint terminal (5) into a first terminal receiving unit (16) of a housing (15), a tab terminal (6) of the joint terminal (5) advances along a tab entrance path (26) formed in the housing (15). In the tab entrance path (26), a cam unit (27) is formed in a helical shape about the axis, and as the tab terminal (6) advances down the tab entrance path (26), a follower part (8) formed partway along the tab terminal (6) is guided the cam unit (27) so as to apply a twisting about the axis to the tab terminal (6). By this means, the connection can be made with an elastic contact piece (14) of a female terminal (9A, 9B) facing the plate surface direction of the tab terminal (6).
