PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a retainer for a thrust roller bearing that allows lubricating oil to smoothly flow, and a method of manufacturing the same.SOLUTION: A retainer (11) for a thrust roller bearing according to the present invention is provided in a thrust roller bearing (20), and provided with a plurality of pockets (21) for housing rollers (13), and comprises a first cylinder part (36) extending along an axis (12) of rotation, a first disk part (31) connecting with the first cylinder part (36) and extending in an outer diameter direction, and a second cylinder part (37) connecting with the disk part (31) and extending along the axis (12) of rotation. The first cylinder part (36), first disk part (31) and second cylinder part (37) are formed in a region on an inner diameter side of a pocket (21). A height (H36) of the first cylinder part (36) along the axis of rotation is smaller than a height (H37) of the second cylinder part 37 along the axis of rotation.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3 |
