PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fuel cell system that detects, even in the event of a breakdown of a flame detection section or a flame detection circuit, that a flame has been extinguished.SOLUTION: A fuel cell system includes: a fuel cell 2 that generates power by reaction of fuel gas and oxidant gas; a hydrogen generator 1 that produces the fuel gas by reforming reaction of water and raw material gas including hydrocarbon; a combustor 3 that burns flammable gas and thereby heats the hydrogen generator 1; a flame detector 4 that detects a flame of the combustor 3; a flame detection circuit 11 that is connected to the flame detector 4; a temperature detector 5 that detects the temperature of the hydrogen generator 1; and a controller 10. When there is an abnormality in the temperature detector 5 even in the event of a breakdown of the flame detector 4 or the flame detection circuit 11, the determination is made that the flame has been extinguished. It is thus possible to prevent combustion gas from continuing to be supplied to the combustor 3 even though the flame has been extinguished. |
