PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a light emitting device utilizing an optical resonance effect between a pair of electrodes, which reduces an increase in the number of masks and an increase in the number of processes, and which improves chromatic purity of light emission from a light emitting element by a simple constitution.SOLUTION: A light emitting device has first through third light emitting elements each including a reflection electrode layer, a luminescent layer and a semi-transmissive electrode layer. In the first light emitting element, the luminescent layer is formed in vicinity to the reflection electrode layer and the semi-transmissive electrode layer is formed in vicinity to the luminescent layer. In the second light emitting element, a first transparent electrode layer is formed in vicinity to the reflection electrode layer, and the luminescent layer is formed in vicinity to the first transparent electrode layer, and the semi-transmissive electrode layer is formed in vicinity to the luminescent layer. In the third light emitting element, a second transparent electrode layer is formed in vicinity to the reflection electrode layer, the luminescent layer is formed in vicinity to the second transparent electrode layer, and the semi-transmissive electrode layer is formed in vicinity to the luminescent layer. Film thicknesses of the first transparent electrode layer and the second transparent electrode layer are different from each other.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 |
