<p>The wheel (1) of a bicycle or a motorcycle is fitted with an appropriate number of spokes (18) inserted between the axle (5) and the wheel rim (4). Each of the spokes (18) is designed as a shock absorbing element with an integrated spring function either created by an air spring or by a gas pressurized spring. There could be also a combination with a leaf spring. The springs can be connected to a pressure sensor (28) working in combination with a computer (30) in order to be adjusted if required.</p> |
