A plasma display device and a driving method thereof are provided to reduce the size of the plasma display device by driving the device with a single board. A plasma display panel device includes plural address electrodes(A1~Am), plural sustain electrodes(X1~Xn), and plural scan electrodes(Y1~Yn). The sustain electrodes and the scan electrodes are parallel to each other. The sustain electrodes are formed correspondingly to the scan electrodes. Discharge spaces form cells(12) at intersections between the address electrodes and the sustain electrodes. A scan driving board biases the sustain electrodes at a constant voltage. The scan driving board receives a driving signal from the image processing and control board and drives the scan electrodes according to the driving signal.
